Founder of ChapterOne Motherhood
Hi! My name is Jazlyn, but everyone calls me Jaz. I’m a full-time working mom with a busy toddler and twins on the way. I started Chapter One Motherhood as a safe, honest space for moms navigating the beautiful chaos of parenthood.
Here, I share real-life experiences, product recommendations we’ve tried and loved (especially Canadian brands), and open up about the not-so-picture-perfect moments we all face — the ones that often go unspoken. Whether you’re a first-time mom, seasoned parent, or somewhere in between, I want you to feel seen, supported, and never alone. This is your first chapter into the next novel of your life — let’s write it together.

Hi! I’m Serinna, a former marketing and management professional turned full-time stay-at-home mom — and I wouldn’t have it any other way (well… maybe with a little more sleep!).
After years in the fast-paced business world, I traded deadlines for diaper changes and strategy meetings for snack negotiations. Along the way, I realized something powerful: motherhood is beautiful, messy, and a lot more manageable when we help each other out.
I’m hands-on by nature — whether it’s building blanket forts, organizing routines that actually work, or finding creative ways to juggle the chaos. This space that Jaz is creating is my way of sharing what I’ve learned (and am still learning!) with other moms who want to feel supported, seen, and inspired.Let’s figure this out together — one mess, milestone, and mom win at a time.
Because we’re all just doing our best — and that’s more than enough.

My name is Maggie, and I grew up in the small northern Alberta town of Cold Lake. I studied Early Childhood Development at Mount Royal University, which led me to my current role as a Family Resource Network Facilitator. I specialize in working with families who have children aged 0 to 6, and I’ve been in this field for over twelve years. My work focuses on bringing fun, supportive, and meaningful resources to families in our community. It’s a role I find both rewarding and enjoyable, and I feel grateful to be part of something that helps strengthen families in such a hands-on way.
Before starting a family of my own, I had the opportunity to travel extensively, which is something I deeply cherish. I’ve explored incredible places like New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Hawaii, and Mexico. Those experiences opened my eyes to the beauty and diversity of the world, and I hope to pass that sense of wonder on to my children.
These days, life is full in the best way. With two working parents, kids in sports, a dog, and a home to care for, there’s rarely a dull moment. But we make the most of it by embracing the outdoors and spending quality time together. I love being active whether it’s hiking, biking, kayaking, yoga or working out. What makes it even more special is sharing these activities with my older child, which I think is incredibly cool. I also find peace and joy at the beach, at our family cabin, or out on the boat. Cooking for loved ones, hosting friends, and enjoying laughter-filled evenings are some of the simple pleasures that mean the most to me.
Despite the busyness of life, we make it a priority to slow down and be present with each other. Our Friday movie and snack nights have become a treasured tradition just one of the many ways we stay connected. For me, it’s all about balance: pursuing what I love, being there for the people who matter, and finding beauty in both the everyday chaos and the quiet moments.

Hi, I’m Katie! I’m an insurance broker turned stay-at-home mama of two — we have a two year old daughter, a seven month old son, and one sweet old doggo! I run on coffee, cuddles, and chaos (in that order).
I’m passionate about soaking up the sweet, silly, and sometimes stressful moments of motherhood. I love connecting with other moms who are in the thick of it too.
Motherhood has changed me in ways I never imagined. It’s been the most challenging, yet most beautiful season of my life — and I’ve never felt more whole than I do now.
I truly believe motherhood isn’t meant to be done alone — we’re here to walk through it together

Hey, I’m Lindsay! I’m a mom to a wild independent toddler and a sweet needy baby boy. I’ve been learning to embrace the idea of slowing down in life since having children and soaking in the chaos.
While I occasionally miss the peaceful beer on the deck at the end of a busy day, I thrive on the joy of watching my toddler tackle daddy in the yard after dinner.
Juggling working and family life is certainly a challenge, but the magic in your children’s eyes is worth every busy second.
I’m grateful to be a part of a group of strong women that share their struggles, their tips and support one another in this crazy journey of motherhood.

My name is Alanna, retired nurse and now SAHM and Pilates/yoga instructor!
I have two precious babies aged almost 3 and 7 months. As soon as my first baby was born, I knew I wanted to stay home with them until they go to school.
I’m very passionate about breastfeeding, creative and adventurous play, and moving my body for mental wellness.
Being a mom is the hardest thing I’ve ever done but I love this life more and more everyday!

I’m Allie, currently a stay at home mom of three wildlings ages 8,5, and 3, but I have been working as an Early Childhood Educator for 15 years.
As I’ve been navigating motherhood, I’ve realized that no one knows what they’re doing. No one. I’ve worked with children under 5 for years, and I STILL had no idea what I was doing. And that’s okay.
I just work every day to open, honest, and authentic with my children, making sure they know I’m there for them and will support them however they need.
The rest is just details – pick what works for your life, for your family, for your children. There is no secret formula – we’re all just winging it.

I’m Kelly, and I follow a nature-centric approach to parenting.
Mothers face so much pressure to follow a certain path and meet specific standards, but motherhood is never one-size fits all.
I’ve learned to march to the beat of my own drum when it comes to raising our daughter, and I believe the best way to parent is to trust your instincts – especially if they lead you toward bare feet, mountains and rivers.

Hi, I’m Jules! When I’m not running after my one year old to stop him from eating a fistful of sand or flinging himself off the couch, I’m working an office job and pursuing my dream of being a writer on the side.
I’ve always wanted to be a mom, ever since I was a kid myself – even if I had no idea what I was in for. It’s one of those things you can’t fully understand until you’re in the thick of it, covered in sweat and spit up and probably some other bodily fluids too.
But once you’re in, you are a VIP member for life, mama.
I’m so grateful to be able to share my experiences here so we can all laugh through the chaos together.

Hi, I’m Alley. A working mom with a beautiful daughter at home.
